TRYDN bikes was born from a love of off-road motorsports, a family-first mindset, and a vision to give the next generation of riders the tools they need to thrive. Founded by Ross, a passionate entrepreneur from Wales with a strong background in engineering, manufacturing, sales and business development, TRYDN is the result of real-world experience, industry insight, and a desire to do things better. 

Ross and his wife Emily first launched Kiddiecross—an e-balance bike class program—after noticing a gap in the market when their own son had nowhere to safely ride his e-balance bike. While running classes and working with multiple e-balance bike brands, Ross saw that many bikes lacked key features young riders (and parents!) truly needed as they advanced their riding skills. That insight led to the creation of TRYDN—a premium range of e-balance bikes designed specifically for kids aged 6–14+. 

With top-tier components, thoughtful design, and performance in mind, TRYDN bikes are built for young riders who are just starting out or already racing competitively. The brand name TRYDN is inspired by the Welsh word “trydan,” meaning electricity—an intentional nod to Ross and Emily’s Welsh roots and the electric power behind every bike we build. 

As a Welsh-founded family business, we wanted our heritage to be part of the brand’s identity, blending tradition with innovation to power the next generation of young riders.
